John 15:5

April and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary last week.  It reminded me of a special memory.  When we were married our wedding "theme" was John 15:5, "I am the vine, you are the branches".  Being that this was our theme we had a grape vine that intertwined in our wedding arch. (Or Chupah if you are Jewish...)  Well we saved that plant at my parents house.  Apparently it seemed to die, the transplantation was too much for it.  But it was faithfully watered and taken cared of.  When we had Ava's baby shower in June, my parents brought us the first fruits from that vine.  More proof that God has such an amazing sense of humor, just when in our marriage we are fruitful, the vine from our wedding produces fruit for the first time.
